It's August in South Texas. Do you know how you can tell that it's August in South Texas? Nobody is outside for more than 30 seconds at a time. People literally run from their cars into the store! I'm serious. They grab their kids and run as fast as they can into the Air Conditioning. We have had a couple of days of 100+ this week. It has really been a mild summer with temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's until August. Of course, that's probably because we relived Noah's 150 days of flooding. It's been 9 (nine) days without rain now. That's the longest break since we moved here in January.
This summer has gone by fast. We've had a lot of fun and accomplished lost of things. We were able to see most of Janie's family, my aunt and uncle from Missouri, and my mom & nephew. Of course, the summer has had it's downsides. As I write this I am sitting in my recliner with my back thrown out. It was getting better today, then I lifted some ceramic tiles....oops.
