I am writting a new journal entry this quickly because we have had a couple of interesting things happen lately. We've learned a lot of things being up in East Texas. Some of them are things about ministry and the church, some of them are more natural in status.
We have a garden! I always had gardens growing up. Grandma & Grandpa Holtz had large gardens full of all kinds of things that I hated picking, cleaning, shucking and weeding. But I really enjoyed eating! Mom had a big garden also that I was able to eat tomatoes and watermelon out of. We also had strange things like gourds and popcorn. Apparently not everyone had gardens like we did. Janie was amazed at some of the things our garden could do.
For example:
Strawberry plants produce real strawberries.
If you plant carrot seeds, carrots will grow.
Cucumber seeds look like the seeds inside of cucumbers.
Like I said. We've learned a lot. There are some pictures on the pic page of our front yard after the most recent rain. 6 inches in 2 hours!! Two Tornadoes touching down within two miles of us. Hail falling for about 10 minutes. Quite the adventure.
Drop us a note and let us know you visited the site.

God Bless,
