Summer is definitely here! We've already had a full week of 100+ temperatures. After almost 7 full months of no rain(no exaggeration) we have finally had a couple of days of thunderstorms. 11" in 4 hours! When it rains, it pours.
My ordinatin ceremony was April 19th, in Kerrville, Texas. After 7 years of study, 11 years after a call during summer camp, and 23 years after I told my mom I would be a preacher, I've completed the requirements for ordination. I have been in the ministry for over 6 years and a certified minister as long. This is the final step in the Assembly of God's licensing process. I feel both a sense of completion and like this is just another step in God's plan.
Janie and Faith are doing wonderful. Faith is running and talking, playing and learning. She has been singing with lullaby CD's, her abc's and counting. Janie has been taking classes at Del Mar classes beginning her Elementary Education Degree. She is also doing Track & Volleyball Camps for students from her Christian School.
We are loving the church, the youth, children's ministry and everything we are doing. The house still isn't finished, but we're making progress. Plumbing, gas lines, drywall, carpet, wood floors, painting, electrical....that might be it so far. Trim, doors, window(oh yeah, already did a couple of those), and some more drywall & floor. I just bought a new keyboard(loving it!). Got a great deal and it sounds incredible. I have loved playing for the worship team at church, youth rallies, etc. Wish I could play the Bass occasionaly.
Thanks for taking time to visit the sight. Come back soon.
